Nookhound

Privacy

This page describes the information the Nookhound storefront currently stores and sends, based on behavior visible in this checkout. It is not a substitute for details the app does not establish.

Public browsing and analytics

You can browse the public storefront without creating an account. WhenPOLSIA_ANALYTICS_SLUG is present, the framework creates or reuses a polsia_vid value in the browser's local storage. It then sends a page-load beacon containing the deploy slug and visitor ID to the Polsia API base.

The app-owned code does not define a retention period for this analytics data. The theme control is provided through next-themes; its exact persistence behavior is not specified in app-owned code.

Contact messages

The contact form accepts your name, email address, and message. A successful submission stores those fields andcreatedAt in a ContactMessage record.

The app then records a contact_form submission for the company dashboard when that service is available. If it is not recorded there, the app uses the configured company-inbox email fallback.

The free 7-day routine waitlist

The storefront offers a free 7-day routine waitlist. It accepts an email address and stores a unique email plus createdAt in aWaitlistEntry record. The routine asset is not yet available in the current storefront.

The app then records a waitlist submission for the company dashboard when that service is available. If it is not recorded there, the app uses the configured company-inbox email fallback.

Accounts and sessions

Email/password accounts are enabled. Signup collects your name, email address, and password. Better Auth persists user identity and status, credential-account, verification, and session records for the account flows the app supports.

Session records include an expiry time and may include the IP address and user-agent received for that session. Verification mail is sent through the installed email delivery module.

Hosted checkout

Checkout starts from a priced Nookhound catalog item. The server computes the amount and sends the item details through the installed billing helper, then redirects you to Stripe-hosted checkout. The storefront does not collect card details in its own form or store card details. After the billing service verifies a completed payment for the First Week Alone kit, the app records a paid order with the item, the buyer-paid amount in minor units, currency, optional checkout email, Stripe checkout session ID, paid status, and payment timestamp.

After checkout, the success flow asks the Polsia billing API to verify the checkout session, checks the exact First Week Alone product and buyer-paid $89 gross amount, and records the paid order idempotently by checkout session ID. Payment-provider and platform handling details are not fully specified in this checkout. The app does not state a delivery or fulfillment promise here.

Operator catalog data

The admin-only catalog workflow is operator data, not a shopper-submitted storefront form. It stores operator-scoped product URLs, expected USD prices, promotion end dates, currencies, status and check results, and timestamps. Catalog URL, price, and image checks can call the installed Polsia web-search proxy.

Details not currently verifiable from this checkout

The repository does not establish the following details, so this page does not state them as facts:

  • Retention or deletion periods for analytics, contact messages, waitlist entries, accounts, sessions, verification records, catalog data, email submissions, or payment and provider records.
  • The complete list of Polsia, Stripe, email, database, analytics, or web-search recipients and processors; sharing purposes; international transfers; or provider-specific terms.
  • Operational security measures, encryption details, access-control practices, incident handling, or security guarantees.
  • A legal controller or business entity name, jurisdiction, legal bases, age policy, statutory rights process, or dedicated deletion and access request workflow.
  • The exact cookie or local-storage behavior of the theme library or any provider-managed storage used by hosted checkout.
